23-year-old mom halves her 115kg weight by stopping fast food

Brit woman wanted to enjoy my youth

A 23-year-old British mother managed to nearly halve her 115-kg weight by stopping fast food and other unhealthy meals.

Alisha Halliwell from the Northwestern town of Wigan wore a size 24 in clothes, and felt her size was stopping her from enjoying her youth.

But since joining a slimming club, Alisha has managed to completely transform her appearance and has so far halved her body weight.

The nail technician told the Daily Mail: ‘I hated the way I looked. I wanted to enjoy my youth and being overweight stopped me from being outgoing. My diet was terrible. I would just eat junk food and would do no exercise at all.

“When I started to diet I used to get upset and say ‘I can’t do it’ because I didn’t like anything other than junk food, but now I hate it!”

Alisha now wears a size 10 clothes and said her life has ‘dramatically changed’.

She added: ‘I can now go out and feel confident and enjoy being in company whereas before I was always embarrassed and self conscious….

“I can walk for a long period of time now whereas before my feet would throb because of the excess weight I was carrying. And it sounds silly but now I can jump up out the bath, before it was so heavy to pick myself up. It is amazing what losing weight can do.”

She said some people told her that they have put a photo of her on their cupboards to stop them from going in them to eat.”

“For a 23-year-old mom I think my weight loss is an amazing achievement….not everyone can lose nearly nine stone and embrace it. It is one of the most difficult things to do but I have done it.”
