Driver Alert: Early morning fog may restrict visibility

ABU DHABI 29 August 2017: The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), has urged motorists to be cautious on roads due to some fog in various areas of the country.

Temperatures ranged from 22°C in the mountains to 46°C in internal areas.

In a statement on Monday, NMCS said that the weather today will be hot in general, partly cloudy and hazy at times, adding that cloud amount will increase at times over some eastern areas, which may become convective at times by afternoon.

It added, “Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times over some exposed areas. The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal and internal areas especially westward. Seas will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.”

TUESDAY: Hot during daytime in general, some clouds will appear over some eastern areas. Light to Moderate winds in general, freshening at times during daytime, causing blowing dust over the exposed areas. The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning over some coastal areas, with a chance of mist/fog formation northward. Sea is slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman sea.

WEDNESDAY: Hot during daytime in general, some clouds will appear over some eastern areas. Light to Moderate winds in general, freshening at times during daytime, causing blowing dust over the exposed areas. The relative humidity is likely to increase during night and early morning.
