Dewa provides Iftar for 2,300 people every day in Ramadan

DUBAI 9 June 2017: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) organises a variety of Islamic, social, cultural, and charitable activities throughout Ramadan, to celebrate the values and promote a spirit of cohesion and social solidarity. This is part of Dewa’s Corporate Social Responsibility and its initiatives during the Year of Giving.

Like every year, Dewa has set up a Ramadan Tent at its head office to serve 500 Iftar meals to Dewa staff who are on duty during Maghreb prayers and for the public of all nationalities. Dewa’s daily iftar meals are provided to 2,300 fasting people throughout Ramadan at different locations.

These include Dewa’s head office, and electricity generation stations and water desalination plants. Meals are also provides to employees who work during Iftar in various departments and emergency services in different Dewa locations.
