DUBAI 18 January 2019: Priding itself to be at the cutting edge of technology, Dubai has made another leap forward – this time in dispensing medicines to the ill.
Following the likes of ‘smart’ police stations, now Dubai boasts of a ‘smart’ pharmacy.
“The Smart Pharmacy from helps in reducing the waiting time to dispense medicines from 20 to 2 minutes,” said a Dubai Government Media Office statement.

The pharmacy has been opened by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
In August 2017, DHA had launched a robot for dispensing medicines.
