ABU DHABI 24 May 2017: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered 977 prisoners who had been convicted in various cases, to be pardoned on the occasion of advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
The President will also pay off the liabilities of the prisoners, said Wam.
The gesture is in line with the President’s keenness to give pardoned prisoners an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate the suffering of their families.
