DUBAI 5 February 2018: A VIP Mentorship Event originates in the US as far as my knowledge goes and it has saturated the market for the past decade, yet I find a huge reluctance in the Middle East for Entrepreneurs or those who consider themselves in this category, to approve to attend.
The ‘greatest hurdle’ seems to inevitably be, the cost. So, my question is ‘What is the price you can put on your head to learn from an experienced Mentor, who has not only talked the talk, but has walked the walk for decades, has the scars and successes to prove it, and from whom you would be able to learn practical skills and techniques unavailable in any Educational Institution? I say the latter with respect, but if you wish to embark on an Entrepreneurial path, having only the theory will result in disaster, especially with your ‘Start-up’, or if you encounter any hardships in the future.
The key issue that really bothers me is those with an unteachable spirit, who have only been in business for 3-5years, who never entertain advice, but rather opt to talk over your head and disrespect any sincere mentorship tendered, simply because of ego and arrogance. Yet they know they are failing abysmally and need the help, because they have no clue how to overcome the hurdles. Pride prevents them from reaching out and asking for that help.
Engage with Mentors
If this resonates with you, then let me assure you right here and now that the most successful Entrepreneurs I know, engage with Mentors more experienced than themselves, hop onto their webinars or attend their seminars and have secured Mentors for themselves for decades. Most of them will share with you that they still cannot continue the journey, without their Mentors. They openly share their story of success and failures and mention the fact that they have Mentors.
Very key to the above is also that these successful Entrepreneurs love ‘sharing their story’, because it inspires those coming up the line who live with the fear that they will not achieve their desired success. The ‘Story’ is intended to encourage, drive, push and inspire and has a huge significance.
The key component to surviving and thriving on this journey is to be as authentic as you possibly can, because your prospective clients must be able to resonate with you firstly, as the Mentor they are facing, and they must ‘feel you’, to connect with you which will assure and convince them that you are the right Mentor for them. It doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a continual process of emergence into knowledge and experience, including ever-changing global trends and mastering the art of Game Changing to ensure your own sustainability and that of your company or venture.
Think & Grow Rich
On the subject of today, the most classical entrepreneur read is ‘Think And Grow Rich’, by Napoleon Hill, which I continue to saturate my being with at any given opportunity for more than a decade. One of the very key principles of accumulating true wealth detailed in this book is ‘Gaining Power through a Mastermind’, which is what a 2-3 day, sometimes longer VIP Day’s key objective is to achieve. The key goal however is to retain this Mastermind Group for as long as it serves you, where my key intention is the same, simply because it absolutely justifies the logic of forming such a Mastermind Group.
….and I quote from this book as enlightenment….
“The Power of the Mastermind is a Driving Force, the Ninth Step towards Riches.” It is also defined as ‘Co-ordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose”.
He continues to define how to acquire this Power through the sources of knowledge from your Mastermind Group and they are:
a. Infinite Intelligence
b. Accumulated experience
c. Experience and research
My experience is that because a Mastermind Class or VIP Event is limited to a maximum no of participants, it enables individual attention and focus to ensure they achieve clarity, present their story with utmost transparency, brainstorm solutions with input from everyone, connect with other participants for future JV’s or collaborations and retain the momentum of an inner circle support for as long they wish.
This is not for everyone, some Entrepreneurs may opt for private Mentorship Sessions, so it depends on individual preference. However, when you connect with an experienced Mentor at that level, then there is no limit to the information, knowledge, techniques, skill-sets and relationships that become invaluable and that also culminates into your resource pool for a very long time.
Right Environment
Here people grow together, they advance, exchange ideas, brainstorm with excellent results, because it is facilitated mostly within a comfortable, neutral, luxurious, opulent environment where creation can be at it’s best, because your mind-set changes and so innovation and creativity are afforded the opportunity to emerge from your inner being, otherwise restrained with daily pressure and other forms of resistance.
If you could review the above paragraph one more time, you would be able to emotionally connect with the setting I am describing, because if it resonates with you, then this is an event you should consider participating in. Most times when we are ‘out of our shells’, we achieve the best surprising results, but not everyone is aware of the highly effective results that will be the deliverable in participating in an event of this caliber.
Private Sessions
Very key is that this event also affords you the opportunity to effectively evaluate the Mentor’s capabilities and abilities to serve you and if you wish to be the Protégé of this Mentor and benefit in the way you desire. The option always exists thereafter to commission the Mentor for your private sessions with absolute assurance that you have chosen the right Mentor for you.
Most experienced Mentors always deliver sterling service, because they have experience in success and failure, so the knowledge and experience is transposed to you 1st hand, with no frills, the real facts and nothing but the facts. You will know what to expect and experience and the best advice to handle difficult situations. There is no amount of money that can be placed as a token for the value.
