Weather Alert: No chance of weekend beach BBQ

ABU DHABI 1 March 2019: The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts weather to be cloudy in general, with scattered rainfall at times over the coming five days.

Following is the weather forecast for the coming five days:

Friday: Cloudy in general, with scattered rainfall at times, especially over the Northern and Eastern areas. The northwesterly winds will freshen by afternoon with suspended dust and causing blowing sand over the exposed areas with poor visibility. Moderate to fresh Westerly to southwesterly winds, becoming strong northwesterly by afternoon over the sea with speed 20 – 40, reaching 60 km/h. Rough to very rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.

Saturday: Partly cloudy and cloudy over some eastern and northern areas with a probability of some light rain by morning. Hazy with significant fall in temperatures. Fresh northwesterly to strong winds at times especially over the sea, with suspended dust and blowing sand over exposed areas with speed 25 – 40 km/hr, reaching 60 km/hr. Very rough to rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.

Sunday: Partly cloudy and cloudy at times over some Northern areas. Fresh Northwesterly winds, especially over the sea, with suspended dust and blowing sand over exposed areas with speed 25 – 35 Km/hr, reaching 50 Km/hr. Rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and rough in Oman Sea.

Monday: Partly cloudy to fair. Moderate to fresh northwesterly winds over the sea with speed 20 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 45 Km/hr. Rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday: Partly cloudy to fair and hazy at times. Moderate to fresh Northwesterly winds over the sea causing blowing dust over exposed areas during daytimes with speed 20 – 30 Km/hr, reaching 40 km/hr. Rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and rough to moderate in Oman Sea.
