Pilgrims coming by bus from Egypt to Saudi Arabia got a shock when the driver stopped the vehicle to inspect a pilgrim’s bag because of foul smell.
When the driver opened the bag, he found scores of dead snakes which apparently perished because of the heat and lack of food.
According to Saudi papers, a YouTube film showed the driver holding dead snakes found in the pilgrim’s bag after he managed to pass through customs checkpoints in the Northwestern Saudi port of Duba near the border with Jordan.
It was not clear why the pilgrim was bringing snakes with him.
