Kuwait seizes 160 kg of drugs

Three on Iranian dhow arrested

Kuwait police seized nearly 160 kg of hashish aboard a dhow coming from Iran and arrested three men who tried to smuggle the stuff into the oil-rich Gulf emirate.

Newspapers said police and coast guard intercepted the wooden boat after receiving a tip off about an attempt to smuggle a large amount of drugs into the country.

Police said those arrested included a man from another Gulf country and two Bedouin men (people without identity) living in Kuwait.
