Saudi customs inspectors seized nearly 23,500 liquor bottles inside a fence shipment that tried to enter the Gulf Kingdom through the border with the UAE.
Ajel newspaper said the inspectors at Bataha border point decided to search the shipment after suspecting it contained illegal items.
“They found nearly 23,500 liquor bottles concealed expertly inside the shipment on a truck heading for Saudi Arabia,” the paper said.
